Byron Joel is a regenerative whole systems designer, teacher, author and consultant, passionately exploring sustainable human systems.  He provides consulting and educational services through is website Oak Tree Designs.  Byron has a Diploma in Horticulture along with extensive experience in the fields ofPermaculture, land re-vegetation, environmental restoration and ethnobotany.

He has taught Permaculture internationally alongside Geoff Lawton and has worked and lived on a number of functioning Permaculture farms and education facilities around the world including Zaytuna Farm home of the Permaculture Research Institute of Australia.

Byron joins us today for an amazing discussion on Permaculture and the human plant relationship.  With his background in horticulture he is very passionate about the need to breed better and more useful perennial plants and working  toward bringing the world a better understanding of the “human plant relationship” that many people don’t even realize exists.
